Alexa and Chris first crossed paths on a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland to San Diego, both heading to the same music festival. They didn’t know each other at the time, but by chance, Alexa’s friend Blake was seated next to Chris, and they talked during the flight. Alexa and Chris made eye contact a few times but didn't think anything of it. Alexa was also supposed to be on a different flight to San Diego but changed it the week of!

On the second day of the music festival, Chris noticed Blake from the plane and came up to him, Blake then introduced Chris to Alexa. They hit it off right away, and Chris soon asked Alexa out for a sushi date back in SF. The plan was set, and the day continued with dancing to Purple Disco Machine, where Chris wowed Alexa with his signature dance move—upside-down sunglasses.

When Chris and Alexa returned to San Francisco, they were hit by the COVID lockdown. With no clear end in sight, Alexa decided to head down to Newport Beach to stay with her family. While she initially thought the time with Chris would blow over quickly, it turned into something much more. As everyone was stuck at home, Chris and Alexa began spending hours Facetiming each night. Chris charmed her with his newfound guitar skills, turning their nightly calls into something truly special.

After spending months in Newport, Alexa finally made her way back to San Francisco, and she and Chris were set for their first date. The anticipation was nerve-wracking, given they hadn’t seen each other since March 8th. But as soon as they were together, it felt like they had never been apart, slipping back into the same easy connection they had during their Facetimes. They enjoyed their first date with pizza at Presidio Park in San Francisco, since restaurants were still closed.

In July, Chris made their relationship official, and soon after, they embarked on their first trip together to Napa!

After an incredible year and a half of dating in San Francisco, Alexa and Chris decided to take the next step in their relationship. They chose to move in together and relocate to San Diego!

In August 2023, Alexa and Chris traveled to Italy, where Chris seized the perfect moment to propose on a boat ride at sunset on the Amalfi Coast!
